Uthlande is a low german expression describing the islands, peninsulas and recaptured land of Nordfriesland in north-west Germany. rant developed a musical inscenation inspired by the history of this region. Thinking about change and insistency, being central ideas in land reclamation,their chamber music results bring contrast and tension to the fore and include a great deal of movement and spatiality. Uthlande is the first scenic work of the duo and besides their normal instruments of drums and guitar, they work with contact mikes, cassettes, samples and also with light.
„uthlande“ premiered in January 2013 in Berlin and was performed on numerous German stages during the last years.
